Stopping in briefly to retrieve a few files for the hospital, Carlisle quickly straightens the pile of books he left out in the early morning hours. Nodding, satisfied, he begins to leave yet pauses to stare at a new trinket sitting on the shelf by the door. Chuckling to himself, he picks it up, a simple statue of a boy and girl. Both dressed in victorian garb, frozen in a dance pose, the woman reminded him of Esme and suddenly he knew why she must have felt the need to purchase it. Slowly placing it back on the shelf, Carlisle smiled to himself and left his study.
