Nina didn't know how long she had been walking. She couldn't remember. Time had flitted into distant things that were of little or no importance to her. She was tired, hungry and weak. She closed her golden eyes as she stumbled into the meadow. A soft rain left a wonderful scent in the air and a smile tugged at her lips. She tipped her head to the side...That scent, is it? Vampire. She suppressed a shiver. There was something different though, about this scent. No human blood!? How strange! This is interesting...such a pretty meadow...

Alice, who'd been sitting nonchalantly underneath a tree, hidden by some shrubbery, stiffened as the smell of dog reached her nose. It burned with the undesirable odour, and if it had been at all possible, her eyes would be watering. She sat up straighter and zeroed in on the stranger, eyes narrowing. A female dog? I thought only Leah Clearwater was capable of transforming... Alice mused, tapping her lower lip with a manicured index finger. How interesting.Knowing that she wouldn't stay hidden for long, Alice debated whether or not she should confront the dog and get her off Cullen Territory - they didn't violate the Treaty, so why should the dogs be allowed to? - or if she should try to talk and attempt peace. Whichever gets her gone faster, She decided, unsure if she'd be able to tolerate the stench. (( hey hey hey, just thought I'd drop in. It looked rather lonely up here ))

Jasper halted mid-stalk. Dog? What in bloody hell was that pups doing anywhere near here? And I thought the female was the smart one... But something wasn't right about her scent... something not quite the same....
Screw it. No dog's gonna mess with my fun today. He pounced just as Alice stretched and moved.
That's it. Pup's goin' down!

Alice gasped as Jasper suddenly disappeared from her Sight and in one fluid motion was up and running after him, the instinct to protect her mate driving her at full speed. She knew Jasper was more than capable of defending himself, but that annoying 'what if' thought just wouldn't go away. Alice bit her lip, fear coursing through her body at the thought of losing him.
(( we're really gonna need Nina to reply before we can actually get much further ... darn it, Nina, get over here *giggles* ))

Jasper growled and felt instinct take over his sprint. He felt Alice's worry at a steady distance behind him.
'Here puppy... Come here, girl,' he heard himself say as he ran, unable to stop himself anymore.

Biting her lip, Alice sped up as she heard Jasper's taunt. Game, set, match. Darn it, Jass, slow down. Did that man have to be faster than her? She inwardly cursed the fact that the dogs were immune to her Sight; it now meant that Jass was too and she couldn't See what would happen. If he got hurt... She sped up again, her eyes narrowing to slits and she focused her whole being on catching up with her mate.

Come now... Cruelty for the pup, not your Love. Jasper pulled himself back into consciousness with the torrent of emotion coming at him from Alice. He slowed down just enough that she could catch up to him and left a trail of mischievous calm behind him. Don't worry, little one. I'm back in control. 'Tis all just a game. He could sense that he was getting close, but he still couldn't see the 'wolf he was looking for...

She felt a sense of ease spread through her, sprinkled with a healthy (or more than) dose of wickedness and knew Jasper was somehow interfering with her emotions; she nearly slowed down but caught herself, thankful that he'd slowed down a tad and let her catch up. She didn't mind fighting a few wolves; hell, that was part of all the fun, but there was no way he was going to something like this without her. Throwing her emotions at him, she let Jasper feel the intensity of her love; it was their way of saying I love you, and just in case anything went wrong, she'd rather him be reminded of that.

He fired the intense emotion back at her. Jasper stopped dead. Alice shot past him, and he fired off again. Catching up to her, he scooped Alice up in his arms and picked up his pace. Hell yeah! Time to toy with some pups!

Slightly shocked at the sudden change in travelling accomadations, Alice inwardly cursed her Blindness; what other move had she missed?. Outwardly, she settled in Jasper's arms easily, shifting position slightly so she wasn't hindered in case she needed to propel herself at the enemy.

Nina Her glowing golden eyes shot up as the vampires entered the clearing. She couldn't help the wild giggle that escaped her at the thought of Raymond's face. Still a volly of pain so sharp ran through her that she almost gasped. Still these vampires were different. Curiousity pricked at her and she blinked. After a pause she raised her pale hand and waved. "Hello!" She said while thinking, Well that's weird, a werewolf just nonchalantly waving and saying hi...to two vampires.

Jasper stopped dead. There she was. Did she just giggle? He gently set Alice on her feet, giving her a confused look. He had never seen this wolf before. Wasn't the pack supposed to tell them if there were any new 'members'? She's waving at me...? His confusion deepened. What an odd little pup...

Nina She felt a twinge of pain as emotion welled inside of her at the sight of the two vampires. He set her down so tenderly...Raymond used to do that for me...I miss him... She blinked, suddenly. To her the area around Forks was incredibly humid, much different than the either dry or crisp air in Montana. Also, these vampires were different, as she noticed earlier they did not reek of human blood. Although their scent burned her nose, it was softer than the coven she had once had to fight...

Jasper twitched minutely as the was it pain? spiked in the girl in front of him. He cocked his head to the side slightly and studied this new arrival. She seemed quite strange to him. She didn't seem nearly as repulsed by their scent as the other wolves were. But then again... she didn't smell like any of the La Push dogs. Who is she? Where is she from? And what's she doing on my baseball field?

Alice, sensing her mate's confusion, tilted her head slightly as she inspected the new dog. Definitely not one of the La Push pack; she dressed in better clothes. If Jasper had stopped so suddenly, that meant he couldn't sense any immediate danger, she reasoned internally and quickly stepped forward cautiously before he could intervene. Ten paces forward, not close enough to attack, not close enough to be attacked. Perfect. She raised her hand and waved slowly, resisting the urge to frown and ask the pretty mutt what her problem was. It was hard to play nice when she couldn't see if the other team was going to cheat or not. "Hello," Alice spoke clearly, smiling her best nice-girl smile. "I'm Alice, this is Jasper. You're currently on Cullen territory, in case you cared."
